Take a boat trip. Berlin has numerous waterways including the Havel River.

The Wannsee Lake, on the River Havel, offers open-air swimming at the Lido and inland beach. You'll also find the "Wannseeterassen" Café Restaurant, which has magnificent views of the lake. The Wannsee Lake is fed by the Havel River, and is suitable for watersports, with sailing regattas being popular. Many famous people have had villas overlooking the lake.

There are over 170 museums in Berlin. The New Museum (Das Neue Museum) has recently been restored under the direction of British Architect David Chipperfield, and reopened after 70 years of closure. The New Museum exhibits over 9,000 items including Egyptian Collections.
